Fernvale Community Church is made up of people from many different life experiences.  As a Community Church, they have people from a variety of church and non-church backgrounds, with people travelling up to 50 minutes to meet with the church family.

Presently they meet on Sundays in the local community hall where people ranging from a few weeks old through and into their seventies gather for worship.  We have a time of praise & worship, Communion and Bible-based, life-related teaching.

 
Burdekin Christian College is a small independent school situated in the township of Ayr. Ayr is located approximately 100 kilometres south of Townsville in North Queensland.

Ayr is the centre of the Burdekin District. The Burdekin District is known for its plentiful supply of underground water (liquid gold). Sugar cane is the main primary industry but many other crops are increasingly being grown.
